A Campus Is a City in Miniature

A university campus is a city in miniature.

Behind every lecture, event and busy corridor is an operation constantly on the move — equipment, tools, supplies, maintenance teams and essential services all travelling between buildings.

At Goldsmiths, University of London, we brought the MEV XL into that environment to demonstrate what happens when everyday campus transport is matched with a vehicle designed for the scale of the job.

The MEV XL offers something different: the capability of a working utility vehicle without the footprint of a conventional van. Fully electric, compact and easy to manoeuvre, it is designed for short operational journeys where access, efficiency and lower-impact transport matter.

That makes a university campus a natural fit.

Goldsmiths has placed climate action firmly on its institutional agenda, and the demonstration gave its team the opportunity to explore how practical electric mobility could complement wider sustainability ambitions while supporting estates, facilities and day-to-day campus operations.

For us, demonstrations are about more than showing a vehicle.

They are about finding the jobs where a better-sized vehicle can make a genuine difference.

Thank you to the Goldsmiths team for welcoming MEV.

And that is exactly what the MEV XL delivers.

Small footprint. Serious potential.
