Putting the MEV XL to Work in Merthyr Tydfil

A specification sheet can tell you the range, capacity and dimensions of a vehicle. What it cannot tell you is how that vehicle actually feels when there is a job to get done.

That is exactly why we took the MEV XL to Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.

Rather than simply talking through what the vehicle could do, the demonstration gave the council team the opportunity to get around it, experience it firsthand and start considering where a compact electric workhorse could genuinely fit into everyday operations.

For local authorities, not every journey requires a conventional van. Teams working across estates, parks, facilities, maintenance and local services often need something smaller, easier to manoeuvre and inexpensive to operate — but still capable of carrying the equipment and materials needed for the job.

That is where the MEV XL comes into its own.

Its compact footprint makes navigating tighter streets, busy sites and operational areas straightforward, while zero tailpipe emissions and quiet electric operation make it particularly suited to communities and public spaces.

The latest MEV XL brings 50% more capacity and 50% more range, giving operational teams even greater flexibility without losing the simplicity that makes the vehicle so practical.

A big thank you to everyone at Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council who spent time with us, asked questions and shared their feedback.

Because ultimately, the best demonstration is not us explaining what the MEV XL can do.

It is handing over the keys and letting the vehicle make its own case.
