Not Every Council Job Needs a Van: MEV XL Takes on Slough
What if cutting fleet emissions did not mean compromising on capability?
That was the question behind our MEV XL demonstration with Slough Borough Council, where the team had the opportunity to get behind the wheel and experience a different approach to everyday council transport.
For local authorities, many jobs simply do not require a full-size van. Parks, estates, facilities, maintenance, cleansing, deliveries and site support often call for something more compact, manoeuvrable and economical.
That is exactly where the MEV XL fits.
Fully electric, quiet in operation and designed for real working environments, the MEV XL combines a compact footprint with the carrying capability needed for practical day-to-day tasks. In busy urban areas such as Slough, that means easier access, zero tailpipe emissions and a vehicle built around efficiency rather than excess.
The demonstration gave the Slough team the chance to explore the vehicle firsthand, consider potential applications and see how electric utility vehicles could support cleaner fleet operations.
A big thank you to everyone at Slough Borough Council who joined us.
The transition to cleaner transport will not be driven by promises alone. It will be driven by vehicles that work.
MEV XL is ready to get to work.
